HDCS Mother and Child Health (MCH) Promotion project was started in 2014, which focuses on providing health education to 5,000 mothers through Ama Suraksha (mother’s protection) classes in 16 communities every month. The main objective of this project is to strengthen the capacity of caregivers, Female Community Health Volunteers (FCHVs) and government to provide MCH services. It also aims to help improve the health seeking behaviors and promote maternal and child health among mothers through health education among women, men and traditional leaders, and provide access to family planning services and reproductive health camps.
